Sight Word Passages

Curated from publishers and educational organizations

As an experienced reading specialist, I am frequently asked by parents and teachers for free sight word passages. To address this need, I have curated a list of the best publicly available resources.

Based on reading research, sight words are best learned in meaningful context, not through isolated memorization alone. Reading sight words within connected text helps students build automaticity, reinforce comprehension, and apply words naturally as they read.

All resources below are free and were made publicly available by their publishers or educational organizations. This curated list is intended to support educators and families in providing effective, research-based reading practice.

Please alert me to any broken links, errors, or suggested additions. Thank you!
